ABOUT FINS:
FINS is based out of the Rockville and Bethesda area of Montgomery County, Maryland. Our two main locations are Georgetown Prep Pool & Old Farm Pool. We offer both indoor and outdoor programming throughout the year:
- Fall & Spring: Outdoor sessions (typically afternoon/evening) and indoor programming on weekends
- Winter: Indoor programming on weekends, weekday evenings in a heated, enclosed tent for an indoor swimming environment
- Summer: Programming across multiple outdoor locations
Our program focuses on instructional and technical swimming, helping swimmers aged three and up of all abilities build confidence, skills, and a love for the sport.
JOB OPENINGS:
- Desk Attendant: Supports daily operations and serves as the first point of contact for families. Desk Attendants help manage check-in, answer questions, and ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for all swimmers and families.
- Best fit for: Organized, friendly individuals who enjoy working with people and are looking for a non-coaching role.
- Assistant Coach: Entry-level coaching role focused on supporting swimmers and providing instruction. Assistant Coaches help create a positive, engaging environment while assisting with drills, organization, and swimmer safety within beginner level groups. This role requires coaches to be in the water to actively support swimmers.
- Best fit for: High school students or first-time coaches who enjoy working with kids and want to learn how to coach.
- Flex Coach: Versatile coaches who can lead a lane or support a group along with a co-coach according to specific abilities. Flex Coaches bring strong energy and communication to the deck, playing a key role in maintaining structure, engagement, and quality instruction.
- Best fit for: Experienced high school swimmers or returning coaches who are confident leading small groups and stepping into different roles.
- Junior Head Coach: Develop leaders who can run group practice independently. Junior Head coaches lead sets, teach technique, and manage the flow of practice while building confidence and consistency in their coaching.
- Best fit for: Coaches with prior experience who are ready to lead their own group and take on more responsibility.
- Senior Head Coach: Experienced coaches who lead groups and support overall program quality. Senior Head Coaches provide high-level instruction and help ensure a positive, structured, and effective practice environment.
- Best fit for: Highly experienced coaches confident in leading practices and developing swimmers of all ages and abilities.
