Group Swim Lessons for Beginner II Swimmers
*A group lessons program offered to beginner swimmers who feel fully comfortable in deep (4.5+) water. FINS coaches will work with swimmers in a group setting to continue to develop skills for a successful freestyle and backstroke and introduce kicking skills for the breaststroke and butterfly strokes. Practices take place in a 15-meter section of the pool at outdoor facilities, and in a 25-yard section of the pool at indoor facilities.
*Seahorses is a great group for swimmers who are able to comfortably swim across 25 yd/m of the pool unassisted with elements of a freestyle stroke but are still learning to put the components of the stroke (arm strokes, kicking, side breathing) together. These swimmers also feel comfortable kicking on their back independently and are ready to begin to add arm strokes.
*In order to participate, swimmers must feel comfortable in deep (4.5+ ft.) water independently and be able to complete a 25 yd/m (one length of the pool) with elements of a freestyle stroke. Swimmers should feel comfortable kicking and floating on their back for 15 yd/m.
