Michael Scott – FINS Head Coach

Coach Mike swam at Tilden Woods for 10 seasons where he developed into not only a great swimmer, but also a crazy and spirited character; making videos and designing meet themes since the age of 12.  Mike swam competitively in Potomac Valley Swimming for seven seasons. He was also a contributor on the Walter Johnson Varsity team for all four years.  Mike was a member of the first coaching staff that FINS assembled and has spent the last four years as a FINS Coach.  Last summer Mike was a Pre-Team Coach at Tilden Woods.  Mike enjoys coaching and teaching both sides of swimming: the technical skills used in the pool to swim fast and the cheering and teamsmanship that are the real fuel to every team. Mike knows that you may remember a big race here and there, but you’ll always remember your friends and the fun times that you have on deck with each other.
