Chris Verboncoeur
FINS Head Coach
Coach Chris grew up swimming in the Montgomery County Swim League (MCSL) as a member of the Tallyho Foxes. Coach Chris swam for Tallyho for 12 years where he left his name all over the record board. When Coach Chris wasn’t swimming in the summer he was swimming for Rockville Montgomery Swim Club (RMSC) where he swam for Mini’s, National Development Group (NDG), Advanced Seniors, and eventually making it into the National Training Group (NTG). At the High School level, Coach Chris was a senior captain of the Winston Churchill High School swim team where he was the 2010 METRO’s Champion in the 100 Butterfly. After High School, Coach Chris continued his swimming career at Virginia Tech and later finishing his career with the College of Charleston in South Carolina where he became a standout at the 200 Butterfly. Coach Chris has been an assistant coach with River Falls and most recently with Tallyho in 2016. Chris loves to bring fun into the learning of swimming and provides his swimmers with proper technique and admires their hard work they put into the sport.
