Alex Cano – FINS Head Coach

Coach Alex grew up swimming all over the world in Jamaica, South Africa and here in Montgomery County where she swam with RMSC and the Walter Johnson Swim Team. Coach Alex taught young children in group and private lessons for the Montgomery County Department of Recreation at the Bethesda Outdoor Pool and KSAC, as well as at Columbia Country Club. She was also a coach with the MCSL Seven Locks Swim Team in 2015. Coach Alex loves teaching kids swimming and seeing their progress in technique as well as learning to love the sport the way she does. When Coach Alex isn’t at the pool she is either chasing her two young boys or working behind the scenes in the Paleobiology Department at the National Museum for Natural History.
